As I was stressing to find a reasonable research topic, it
hit me! I should write about stress itself. Who else would know more about
stress than college students? Through this course we examine the different
meanings of being healthy, and stress often times plays a key role in someone’s
health. As I began to investigate the
topic of stress, I realized stressed manifested itself in more ways than I had
originally thought. This topic could prove to be very insightful because
regardless of age or occupation stress will always be present.
Different levels of stress cause different reactions in the human
body. Reactions to stress can range from
insomnia to serious psychological disorders. I haven’t looked into what triggers certain
reactions in the human body, but I’m planning to look into it. To give myself
an idea of what is being said about stress, I search “effects of stress on the
human body” and came across thousands of articles. I don’t think I’ll have a
problem finding information or data on this topic. Most of the articles I
skimmed through agreed that stress in excess is bad. I have yet to come across
an article that paints stress in a positive light; however, I did notice
differences in suggested stress management techniques. Some authors argued that exercise was the
best way to combat stress while others suggested other relaxation techniques.
I am definitely still intrigued by this topic. I think there
is plenty to expand on. I look forward
to calmly continuing my research J
Signing off,
stephanie
