narrowing it down

Before I address anything, I want to say that I definitely need to narrow down my inquiry question.  I had originally planned to research the effects of stress on the human body but after reading several articles I know that I could never write about all of the effects of stress in one semester.  Stress causes an incredibly wide range of both physical and psychological reactions in the human body. Sorry to disappoint guys but you’ll have to settle for my new inquiry question:  What ways have proven to help reduce stress?
Better?

Managing Stress: Principles and Strategies for Health and Well-Being by Brian Luke Seaward has proven to be the most important and helpful book that I have come across.  It has served me well because it discussed all sorts of stresses.  It does not put all the different types of stresses under one single category. Seaward starts by explaining the different types of stress: eustress, neustress, distress, acute and chronic stress (Side note: I finally found a source that mentioned a positive aspect of stress. Eutress is also known as good stress. It is any stressor that motivates an individual toward an optional level of performance).  Stress, in any form, has consequences on the human body and they are explored through a few chapters.  According to Seaward, successful stress management can be achieved through several techniques: being realistic, meditation, visualization, time management, exercise, engagement in hobbies, expressing emotions and being flexible.

As far as advice for my peers- I suggest you all keep reading.  Despite having found the required number of sources, keep reading! You never know what you will eventually come across.
